MCT oil is a fat that the body processes quickly, and it gives a coffee-based shake a creamy texture. Together with unsweetened almond milk and vanilla whey, the carbs stay low. Start with the amount here, because too much MCT oil can upset the stomach.
Ingredients
Makes 1 serving.
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- ¾ cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
- ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp MCT oil
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 drops liquid stevia
- 5 ice cubes
Method
- Add the cold coffee, almond milk, and protein powder to the blender.
- Add the MCT oil, cinnamon, stevia, and ice.
- Blend for 40 seconds, until frothy and creamy.
- Taste and adjust the stevia.
