Spinach is the easiest vegetable to hide in a smoothie. Two handfuls disappear into banana and almond butter, and the only sign is the color. This is a good entry point for anyone who has never made a green smoothie.

- 2 cups fresh baby spinach
- 1 medium frozen banana
- 1 tbsp almond butter

- 2 ice cubes
Method
- Add the almond milk and spinach to the blender and blend for 30 seconds, until the spinach is fully broken down.

Tips
- Blend the spinach with the liquid first. Whole leaves do not break down if the banana goes in at the same time.
- Baby spinach is milder than mature spinach.
Swaps and variations
- Use kale for a stronger flavor.
- Use peanut butter in place of almond butter.
