Kiwi has plenty of vitamin C and a tart flavor that cuts through the sweetness of pear. The seeds are tiny and blend in without a problem. The color is a pale green, so it looks lively without spinach.
Ingredients
Makes 1 serving.
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- 2 medium kiwis, peeled
- ½ medium ripe pear
- ¾ cup water
- 1 tbsp lime juice

Tips
- Choose kiwis that give slightly under thumb pressure. Hard ones are very sour.
- Drink this soon after blending. The flavor turns bitter if it sits.
Swaps and variations
- Use coconut water in place of the water.
- Add a handful of spinach for a green smoothie that does not taste green.
